Sales Manager

About this Role

Are you an experienced Sales Manager, Sales Team Manager or Finance Sales professional looking for your next challenge? As Sales Manager at Dawsongroup Finance, you will combine people leadership with hands-on sales, leading a team of three Sales Executives while personally generating new business, managing customer relationships and identifying finance opportunities across the wider Dawsongroup business.

• Leading, coaching and supporting three Sales Executives, helping them achieve their individual sales targets, KPIs and development goals.
• Remaining hands-on with your own sales activity, generating new business through SMEs, suppliers, introducers, existing customers and new prospects.
• Taking joint ownership of the wider business new business target, using pipeline reviews, forecasting and performance conversations to identify opportunities and address shortfalls.
• Understanding customer requirements and identifying suitable finance solutions, including HP, Lease and Refinance, before progressing proposals through the appropriate credit and compliance processes.
• Working with Dawsongroup Business Units to uncover asset finance opportunities from existing, new and lapsed customers.

About You

You will bring a proven sales background, experience of managing people and a genuine understanding of working within financial services. We are open to backgrounds including mortgage, banking, lending and asset finance, provided you can demonstrate the commercial, relationship and sales skills needed to succeed in this role.

• Extensive sales experience, with a strong track record of generating and converting new business.
• Previous managerial experience, including coaching, supporting and developing salespeople and managing performance.
• Experience within a finance environment such as mortgage, banking, lending or asset finance.
• A hands-on commercial approach, with the confidence to manage your own sales targets while leading a team and contributing to wider business performance.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, introducers, credit, underwriting, operations and colleagues across Dawsongroup.

• Develop your team through regular one-to-ones, pipeline reviews, performance conversations and practical coaching.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, house accounts and introducers, ensuring a consistently high level of customer service.
• Work across Dawsongroup Business Units to identify and convert new asset finance opportunities.
• Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through completion, working closely with credit, underwriting and operations while maintaining accurate CRM records.
• Achieve and exceed personal sales targets and KPIs while helping your team deliver against its wider business objectives.
