Trades Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for an organised and proactive Trades Coordinator to join our team. This is a key coordination role responsible for helping manage the day-to-day delivery of our workload across Perth. Working closely with our Supervisors, administration team, tradespeople, subcontractors and builders, you will coordinate upcoming works, manage trade capacity and ensure jobs are scheduled and communicated effectively. This role would suit someone who enjoys being at the centre of a busy construction environment, can confidently manage changing priorities and takes ownership of getting things organised.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule trades and subcontractors across residential construction projects
• Manage builder call-ups and upcoming works
• Allocate trades based on workload, location, job requirements and available capacity
• Maintain and update the works programme
• Coordinate multiple stages of construction across a high volume of jobs
• Work closely with Supervisors to coordinate labour requirements and priorities
• Communicate daily and weekly schedules with trades and subcontractors
• Liaise with builders regarding bookings, changes, delays and site readiness
• Manage rebookings and changes to the programme as required
• Identify scheduling conflicts, capacity issues and potential delivery risks before they become problems

About you

• Previous experience in scheduling, trades coordination, construction administration or a similar role
• Experience within residential construction or another trade-based environments
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• The ability to manage a high volume of jobs and changing priorities
• Confidence communicating with tradespeople, supervisors, builders and subcontractors
• Strong attention to detail
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• The ability to identify problems early and work with the team to find practical solutions
• A calm and organised approach when schedules change
• A strong sense of ownership and follow-through
