About the Role We are seeking an experienced Lead Program Advisor to support the advisory function of a major Cyber Uplift Program. This is a critical role coordinating operational support, planning, reporting and delivery coordination across multiple concurrent initiatives within a structured governance environment.
Working closely with the Program Manager, project managers and discipline leads, you will support the effective operation of the program by coordinating program activities, maintaining governance artefacts, preparing executive reporting and facilitating governance and operational support services. You will also lead, mentor and coordinate a Program Advisor team, ensuring consistent governance support and reporting across the program.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead coordination of program planning and operational support activities across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Support the Program Manager in implementing governance processes and program management practices
- Lead, mentor and coordinate the Program Advisor team
- Coordinate integrated program schedules, milestones and key dependencies, and maintain consolidated delivery plans and governance calendars
- Coordinate the preparation of Program Board papers, executive briefings and governance reporting, including dashboards, status reports and performance metrics
- Coordinate governance forums, including agendas, papers, action registers and decision logs
- Maintain governance artefacts including RAID, action and decision registers
- Support assurance activities and governance reviews
- Coordinate program financial reporting, forecasting and budget tracking, and monitor expenditure against approved funding
- Maintain program management templates, standards and supporting documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve program coordination, reporting and operational effectiveness
What You'll Bring (Mandatory) - Demonstrated experience supporting governance and coordination activities across large, complex programs and portfolios
- Experience preparing executive reporting, governance papers and program dashboards
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple concurrent initiatives within a structured governance environment
- Experience supporting program financial management
- Strong planning, organisational and coordination skills
- Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working across business and technical stakeholder groups
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Project Management, Administration or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Experience supporting cyber security, ICT or digital transformation programs
- Experience working within Queensland Government or other highly regulated environments
Highly Desirable - Experience supporting executive governance forums and preparing material for senior executives
- Experience coordinating Program Boards, Project Reference Groups or executive governance forums
- Experience developing governance templates, reporting frameworks and operational processes
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Project Online, Jira, Confluence and Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms
- PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Project Management, Agile Project Management certification, or a relevant PMO or governance qualification
