About the role
We are looking for experienced and reliable Truck Drivers to join our team, operating company-owned heavy vehicles across civil construction and infrastructure projects.
The role involves transporting and delivering a range of materials including quarry products, soil, spoil and other construction materials. You will be required to operate safely and professionally on both public roads and active construction sites, working around heavy plant, pedestrians and other vehicles. There are a range of vehicles within our Fleet that you will be required to operate when required such as Twin Steer Ejectors, Truck and Tri Axle, Truck and Quad and Electric Ejectors and Tippers.
As a company driver, you will be responsible for the safe operation and care of the vehicle/s, while providing a reliable and professional service to our clients and project teams.
Key responsibilities
Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with all road, site and safety requirements
Complete daily pre-start inspections and report any defects, damage or maintenance requirements immediately
Take responsibility for the care, cleanliness and presentation of the company vehicle
Transport and deliver materials including quarry products, soil, spoil and other construction materials
Operate safely in and around active civil construction sites, including around plant, pedestrians and other heavy vehicles
Follow directions from site supervisors, project teams and NEMA management
Complete all required dockets, timesheets and electronic records accurately and on time
Ensure loads are secured, covered and transported in accordance with legislation and site requirements
Comply with fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility and heavy vehicle requirements
Report incidents, near misses, hazards, vehicle damage and mechanical issues immediately
About you
Current HR, HC (Preferred) or MC (Preferred) Australian driver's license
Demonstrated experience operating heavy vehicles
Experience working safely around civil construction sites
Good understanding of heavy vehicle safety, fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility
Ability to complete daily vehicle inspections and identify defects
Good driving history
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to complete electronic dockets, timesheets and other required records
Ability to communicate effectively with the operations team and site personnel
