Job Purpose
Responsible for
• Supervision of the Assembly team to achieve scheduled production targets and to identify areas of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor labour efficiencies and make recommendations for improvement.
• Identify skills gaps, train staff and assess competencies.
• Manage requests for leave and report on absenteeism.
• Monitor quality and report on any product non-conformance.
• Identify and contribute to continuous quality / improvement projects.
• Report all hazards and investigate reported incidents.
• Ensure that health and safety guidelines are always followed.
• Support Environmental and Sustainability initiatives.
• Monitor and encourage good housekeeping practices.
Key Competencies
• Production / Assembly knowledge.
• Interpersonal skills and able to motivate the team.
• Problem solving and decision making.
• Clear communication both Verbal and Written.
• Planning, Organizing and attention to detail.
• Adherence to Company policies and Safety procedures.
Desired Education / Skills
• Minimum 2 years experience in a team leader role supervising assembly and or warehouse staff
• Strong PC skills and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite)
