Business Development Manager — Melbourne (Part-Time, Remote)

Habits of Mind, a purpose-driven Australian business creating compliance training that actually strengthens culture and safety, is looking for its next Business Development Manager.

Our training library is developed in partnership with Lander & Rogers, one of Australia's leading law firms. The product's proven and the systems are in place. What we now needs is someone who can build pipeline, close deals and help us scale.

The role:

• 3-days per week, remote (from home) with occasional meetings in Melbourne CBD.
• Network-led selling — re-engaging your HR, People & Culture, Legal, Risk or L&D contacts to generate warm introductions
• Outbound pipeline generation via their email and LinkedIn systems, with structured follow-up
• Cold and warm calling
• Owning your own quarterly GTM plan — segments, channels, activity rhythms
• Running HubSpot end-to-end as the primary sales system
• Scoping, proposing and closing sizeable enterprise deals
• Remuneration of $71,760 +super is base, plus commission (8% up to $150k Year 1 value, 5% above).

This is a hands-on, revenue-focused role with real commercial targets and real accountability — the kind of mandate that suits someone who wants ownership, not just activity.

Ideally, you'll have:

• 5+ years in B2B sales or partnerships
• A track record selling into HR, People & Culture, Risk, Legal or L&D
• An existing Australian HR network
• Confidence running a CRM as a growth engine, not just a reporting tool

This role is based in Melbourne but fully remote — well suited to a motivated candidate who values flexibility. Part-time to start, with real potential to grow into full-time as the business scales.
