Communications Coordinator

About the role

Metropolitan Memorial Parks is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join our Marketing & Engagement team. This hands-on role supports internal and external communications, content, stakeholder engagement, campaigns and events. You'll work across the organisation to create clear, engaging communications that connect our people, customers and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate internal and external communications across multiple channels.

• Create clear, engaging content for newsletters, websites, social media and internal platforms.

• Support communication plans, campaigns and key organisational initiatives.

• Keep communication channels and content up to date.

• Work with teams across MMP to share stories, achievements and updates.

• Support stakeholder and community engagement activities and events.

• Assist with media communications and campaign content.

• Track engagement and help identify opportunities to improve communications.

About you

You're a confident communicator and strong writer who can turn information into clear, engaging content. You're organised, collaborative and comfortable managing multiple priorities while building strong relationships across the organisation.

• Tertiary qualifications in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.

• Experience in communications, engagement, PR or a similar role.

• Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills.

• The ability to tailor communications for different audiences and channels.

• Strong organisation and attention to detail.

• Good stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.

• Experience across digital and traditional communication channels.

• Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital communication platforms.

Metropolitan Memorial Parks is the NSW Government cemeteries and crematoria operator, managing eight memorial parks across the Sydney and Hunter regions. Our parks are important places of reflection, remembrance and connection, supporting people to grieve, celebrate life and remember their loved ones. Across approximately 400 hectares of Crown land, we provide a range of services including interment, cremation, memorialisation, chapels, functions, heritage and recreational facilities.
