Primary Deputy Principal

About the role

St Agatha's Catholic Primary School is seeking a faith filled, inspirational and dynamic Deputy Principal to work in partnership with our staff, student and parent community. The role of the primary deputy principal is to support the Principal and Leadership Team in managing the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the education of all students at St Agatha's Catholic Primary School. The role involves working closely with the Principal in enacting the strategic directions of DOSCEL and the deployment of resources.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Principal and Leadership Team in managing the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the education of all students

• Work closely with the Principal in enacting the strategic directions of DOSCEL and the deployment of resources

• Act as an instructional leader with the capacity to support and advance the School's strategic focus on structured explicit instruction and responsive teaching

• Work collaboratively with staff to develop a consistent and coherent approach to teaching and learning within and across year levels

• Strengthen teacher practice and improve outcomes for all students

• Support the key priorities of enlivening faith education and Catholic identity

• Support improved learning outcomes for all students

• Support the strengthening and development of expert teacher practice, leadership formation and capacity building

• Support ongoing commitment to effective and supportive governance

• Suitably qualified applicant with a proven record of leadership

• Aspires to principalship
