The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Operations Procurement Lead to support the delivery of major Data Centre, Critical Infrastructure and Energy projects across Australia.
You will be responsible for sourcing, qualifying and managing local suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring materials and services are delivered safely, cost effectively and on schedule. Working closely with project managers, engineers, finance and site teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring successful project execution across projects valued at $20M+.
3-6 years' experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing or supply chain management within construction, engineering, manufacturing or industrial environments.
Demonstrated experience managing RFQ processes, supplier evaluations, bid comparisons and purchase order placement.
Experience supporting large-scale construction, infrastructure, electrical or mechanical projects.
Proven ability to negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
Experience coordinating multiple suppliers and stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment.
Strong ability to develop supplier relationships and manage vendor performance.
Experience sourcing local materials, equipment and subcontract services across Australia.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and bills of materials to support procurement activities.
Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract administration and supplier management.
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical products and services, including cables, switchgear, UPS systems, batteries, lighting, fire systems, structural steel, HVAC and related contractor services.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or similar.
Understanding of procurement governance, supplier compliance requirements, WHS obligations and commercial risk management.
Familiarity with subcontract procurement, logistics coordination, freight management and supplier performance monitoring.
Exposure to data centre, critical power, mission critical infrastructure or industrial projects will be highly regarded.
Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Construction Management, Business or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant procurement or sourcing experience (mandatory).
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders.
Full Australian working rights and a current Australian Driver's Licence (mandatory).
Ability to travel occasionally to supplier locations and project sites as required.
High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
