We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Services Coordinator to join our Construction team in Devonport.

This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative, driven and process-focused professional to play a key role in delivering major construction projects across Tasmania.

The Role:

The Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the installation of building services from subcontractor award through to commissioning, completion and the defects liability stage.

Based predominantly on site, you will work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors, consultants and other project team members to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and in accordance with contractual requirements and client expectations.

You will be responsible for coordinating multiple services packages and ensuring design, procurement, installation and commissioning activities are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Involvement in the services design process including design development, design review and design approval.
• Collaboration with all project stakeholders.
• Review project services specifications to identify design requirements, performance outcomes and constraints.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and applicable regulations.
• Assist with authority/utility application requirements that relate to building services and ensure compliance with project and program deliverables.
• Monitor progression of the phases of design, installation and commissioning and update management on key milestones and potential issues.
• Identify issues with the services design and installation and drive the development and implementation of solutions.
• Create methodology and staging plans for Critical Infrastructure interfacing, cut-ins.
• Create a project specific commissioning plan.
• Manage, monitor and control the flow of technical information between the design disciplines and relevant stakeholders.
• Carry out Integrated Services Testing.
• Facilitate client training and handover.

The individual we are seeking will be able to display the following attributes:

• 3+ years of commercial construction industry experience.
• Experience of participation in the coordination and management of services design and install.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with building codes and standards.
• Knowledge of working drawings, design trends, environmental design, and spatial awareness.
• Strong communication skills (graphic, written, and verbal).
• General understanding of construction methods, process, and project life cycle.
• Strong commitment to the Company’s values and strategy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
