About the role
The new Medowie High School will open to Year 7 students only at the start of Term 1, 2027. Located in Port Stephens on Worimi Country, the school serves a vibrant semi-rural community.
Recognising the unique opportunities and challenges of opening a new school, the successful applicant will work closely with the principal and executive team to establish high-quality programs, systems, structures and processes to support excellence and equity. The role includes contributing to the development of a positive, inclusive and high-expectations school culture, while supporting the establishment of innovative and evidence-informed English programs and practices that promote student curiosity, inquiry and achievement.
Specific Selection CriteriaAn unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
