Job Summary

Join HUB24 as a Software Engineer and help shape the future of financial advice in Australia. In this role, you will design and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions that empower advisers and improve access to financial guidance. You’ll work within our Platform Engineering team, contributing to innovative, cross-product initiatives focused on modernisation, efficiency, and AI enablement, while collaborating with experienced engineers in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable applications and microservicesDevelop and optimise APIs for seamless system integrationsContribute to AI-driven engineering practices and innovation initiativesWrite clean, testable, and maintainable code aligned with best practicesImprove system performance, scalability, and data access patternsParticipate in code reviews and continuously uplift engineering standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutionsSupport system maintenance, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancementsContribute to documentation, coding standards, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering or equivalent3+ years’ experience as a Software EngineerStrong experience with Node.js (Nest.js desirable) and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript)Experience with relational (SQL Server) and non-relational databases (e.g. MongoDB)Exposure to cloud environments (GCP preferred)Experience building APIs, microservices, and scalable applicationsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile/Scrum methodologiesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Have

Experience with AI tools (e.g. Copilot, Claude)Golang or .NET (C#) experienceBackground in financial services or fintech
