MacKillop Catholic College, Mount Peter is seeking applications for a Student Learning Assistant - Student Engagement to join their Primary team.
Commencement Date: Term 4, Tuesday 6th October 2026 (earlier start date will be considered)
Salary Range: SOF Level 4 $36.98 - $38.14 gross per hour
Employment Type: Term-Time, Permanent Position | 32 hours per week

MacKillop Catholic College, Mount PeterMacKillop Catholic College, a master-planned Prep to Year 12 College located in the growing southern corridor of Cairns, was established in 2016 with Prep-Year 3 classes. The College has developed progressively, adding additional year levels annually, and commenced secondary education in 2020 with Year 7, and the first Year 12 cohort graduating in 2025. About the RoleThe School Learning Officer - Student Engagement's role is specifically to support student engagement in learning. This will include assisting students to regulate their emotions, responding to student escalations and exploring challenges that impact students' abilities to engage across learning environments. This assistance may also extend to planning and resourcing interventions for students, delivered by the School Learning Officer - Student Engagement and/or other staff members. This position works under the supervision of the Deputy Principal - Head of Primary.
