Resource Development Geologist | Project Geologist – Resource Development 
MMG Rosebery | Tasmania | 8/6 and 12/9 Rosters 

We are seeking two geologists to join our Resource Development team and contribute to drilling, exploration and resource-definition programs supporting Rosebery’s growth and mine life extension. 

The opportunity 

Reporting to the Senior Geologist – Resource Development, you will help identify and evaluate economic mineralisation across the Rosebery operation and regional tenements. 

Depending on the role and your experience, you will: 

• Coordinate underground drilling and exploration programs 
• Manage contractors, schedules, budgets and program performance 
• Complete geological logging, sampling and data validation 
• Maintain geological databases and QAQC processes 
• Support 3D modelling, target generation and resource conversion 
• Produce technical reports and collaborate across geology and technical teams 
• Provide guidance to graduates, field staff and contractors 

The Resource Development Geologist role is ideal for a developing geologist seeking hands-on experience across drilling, logging and resource-development programs. 

The Project Geologist role suits an experienced geologist ready to lead drilling and in-mine exploration programs, provide technical guidance and contribute to resource-growth strategies. 

About you 

You will have: 

• A Bachelor of Science with Honours, or higher qualification, in Geoscience Experience in exploration, resource development or mine geology 
• Knowledge of geological logging, databases and QAQC Strong analytical, communication and technical reporting skills 
• A collaborative approach and commitment to safe work Project Geologist candidates will ideally have more than three years’ professional experience and demonstrated capability in managing resource-definition, drilling or exploration programs.
• Experience with VHMS or base-metal deposits and 3D geological modelling software such as Maptek Vulcan or Leapfrog will be highly regarded.
