Pastry Chef | 4-Day Week | No Nights | No Weekends

Part-Time | 4 Days per Week | Monday to Thursday | Abbotsford

Urban Foodies is one of Melbourne's leading corporate catering companies, creating premium food for corporate clients and events. We're looking for an experienced Pastry Chef (or Chef with strong pastry experience) to join our friendly kitchen team.

You'll be responsible for creating a variety of sweet and savoury items including:

• Prepare and present baby cakes, slices, breakfast pots, baked goods, tarts, sausage rolls and other seasonal sweet and savoury items.

• Create beautiful plated desserts and sweet canapés for corporate events.

• Manage prep lists, ordering and stock control for your section.

• Ensure all prep and production is completed to a consistently high standard and on time.

• Collaborate with our senior chefs on seasonal menu development, with the opportunity to contribute new ideas and showcase your creativity.

• Maintain a clean, organised work area while following food safety, HACCP and OH&S standards.

• Trade qualified chef with 3+ years' experience in a similar role.

• Organised and able to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen.

• An eye for detail and a commitment to consistency and quality.

• Reliable, punctual, hard-working and organised, with strong communication skills.

• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

• Happy to produce both sweet and savoury items as required.

• Monday to Thursday days only (starting from 6-7am)
