Services provided

GP Belconnen provides comprehensive primary healthcare, including:

• General and family medicine
• Chronic disease management
• Mental health care
• Women’s, men’s and children’s health
• Immunisations
• Skin checks and minor procedures
• WorkCover and occupational medicine
• DVA services
• Iron infusions
• Sexual and reproductive healthcare

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based and patient-centred general practice care
• Assess, diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions
• Develop appropriate treatment, preventive health and follow-up plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
• Arrange referrals, investigations and recalls where clinically indicated
• Work collaboratively with nurses, administrative staff, specialists and allied health providers
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and practice policies
• Meet all professional, ethical, privacy and regulatory obligations

Essential requirements

• Current AHPRA medical registration
• Eligibility for a Medicare provider number at the practice location
• Appropriate professional indemnity insurance
• Current Australian working rights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to high-quality, culturally safe and patient-centred care

Vocationally registered GPs are encouraged to apply. Overseas-trained GPs may also enquire; appointment will be subject to AHPRA registration, Medicare eligibility and any applicable location or supervision requirements.
