Adroit Piping Systems is Australia's leading manufacturer, fabricator, and supplier of HDPE piping systems, proudly servicing the civil, mining, water, industrial, and infrastructure sectors for over 30 years.
With continued growth across New South Wales and Queensland, we are expanding our hire division and are seeking a hands-on Hire Workshop Technician to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical and/or electrical background who enjoys working with specialised equipment, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants to be part of a growing Australian business.
About the Role
This is a workshop-based role focused on preparing, maintaining, testing, and servicing our hire fleet of HDPE welding equipment. You will ensure every machine leaving our workshop is safe, reliable, and ready for hire, while inspecting, cleaning, testing, and repairing equipment as it returns.
You'll also have opportunities to travel within Australia to support customers and, for the successful candidate, attend factory training with our equipment supplier in the USA.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare hire equipment for dispatch.
Complete check-in and check-out inspections.
Clean, service, and maintain hire equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
Perform electrical safety testing and tagging where required.
Ensure all equipment is complete with accessories, inserts, manuals, and documentation.
Photograph and document equipment condition before dispatch and on return.
Coordinate repairs and servicing with the workshop team.
Maintain accurate service and inspection records.
Assist with loading, unloading, and organising the hire fleet.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop.
About You
Mechanical and/or electrical trade or relevant industry experience.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Experience servicing industrial or construction equipment is highly regarded.
Electrical Test & Tag competency (or willingness to obtain).
Forklift Licence (desirable).
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong work ethic and pride in producing quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
