Senior Tax Manager, Asia Pac

As our business continues to grow across Asia Pacific, we're seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Tax Manager, Asia Pacific to lead the region's tax function and become a trusted advisor to senior business leaders.

Reporting to the Director, International Tax in the United States, you'll lead all tax matters across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Vietnam and Sri Lanka while partnering with a highly collaborative global tax team.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a tax leader who combines strong technical tax expertise with commercial judgment, executive presence and a passion for continuous improvement.

You'll be responsible for leading the regional tax agenda, supporting business growth, advising on strategic initiatives and driving improvements across governance, risk management, systems and processes.

The successful candidate will challenge existing approaches, identify opportunities and help shape the future of the APAC tax function.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead the tax function across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Vietnam and Sri Lanka.
  
• Act as the primary tax advisor to APAC leadership teams and key business stakeholders.
  
• Advise on the tax aspects of acquisitions, integrations, restructures, financing arrangements and other business initiatives.
  
• Partner closely with finance, legal, operations and executive leadership teams to support commercial decision-making.
  
• Oversee corporate income tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax, transfer pricing and other indirect taxes.
  
• Manage regional tax accounting, provisioning and statutory reporting.
  
• Lead tax risk management and strengthen regional governance frameworks.
  
• Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors and tax authorities.
  
• Drive process improvement, automation and efficiency across the tax function.
  
• Support global and international tax projects.
  
• Assist with APAC REIT-related tax matters and support US REIT compliance requirements.
  

About You

We're looking for someone who can operate independently, influence senior stakeholders and bring both leadership capability and commercial insight to the role.

You may currently be:

• A Senior Manager or Director in a Big 4 or leading professional services firm looking to make your first move into industry; or
  
• A high-performing senior member of a large multinational corporate tax leadership team, ready to step into a broader regional leadership position.
  

To be successful, you will bring:

• Extensive corporate tax background gained across multinational and/or leading professional services environments.
  
• Deep technical expertise across corporate income tax, international tax, transfer pricing and indirect taxes.
  
• A track record supporting complex multi-jurisdictional operations across APAC and global markets.
  
• Commercial acumen and a talent for pragmatic, business-focused advice.
  
• A history of partnering with senior executives and influencing key business decisions.
  
• Exposure to acquisitions, restructures, transformation programs and strategic business projects.
  
• Proven strength in tax governance, risk management and tax authority engagement.
  
• A proactive mindset with a track record of driving process improvement and organisational change.
  
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  
• CA, CPA, CTA, Master of Tax or equivalent professional qualifications.
  

Highly Regarded

• Experience within logistics, infrastructure, industrial, manufacturing, property or other large asset-intensive multinational organisations.
  
• Experience in a listed multinational environment.
  
• Exposure to US-headquartered organisations.
  
• REIT, property tax or cross-border structuring experience.
  
• Previous responsibility for regional tax leadership activities.
