About the role
The Role You will balance client-facing bookkeeping with overseeing daily workflow, ensuring high standards across our client accounts, and supporting a small, dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
Client Bookkeeping: End-to-end processing, payroll, superannuation, BAS/IAS preparation, bank reconciliations, and month-end reporting for multiple small business clients.
Team Leadership: Allocating daily tasks, reviewing work quality, providing guidance to junior staff, and helping the team hit deadlines.
Client & Software Support: Onboarding new clients, managing queries, and optimizing workflows across cloud accounting platforms (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks).
Process Improvement: Spotting bottlenecks and keeping practice workflows smooth and efficient.
What We Are Looking For
3+ years of experience in a multi-client bookkeeping or accounting practice environment.
Registered BAS Agent qualification (or working towards it) is highly regarded.
Expert knowledge of Xero, MYOB, and receipt management tools (Hubdoc, Dext, etc.).
Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience.
Strong communication skills and a friendly, confident client manner.
High attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a busy environment.
