We’re looking for a Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary clinical team to help create meaningful change in people's lives.

SAL Consulting is seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Northern Territory, based in Darwin. 

This is more than a clinical role. Alongside a diverse and rewarding caseload, you'll contribute to multidisciplinary practice and work with individuals, families and service systems to create meaningful and lasting change.

What You’ll Be Doing

You'll combine direct clinical work with assessment, intervention, consultation and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Your work will include:  

• Delivering high-quality Speech Pathology services across community, clinic, school and telehealth settings  
• Providing assessment, intervention and consultation services to people with diverse and often complex needs  
• Supporting individuals, families, carers and support teams to achieve meaningful outcomes  
• Mentoring and coaching developing practitioners  
• Contributing to discipline growth, clinical innovation and service development  
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic and person-centred outcomes   

Life & Work in the Northern Territory

Based in Darwin, you'll have opportunities to work across urban, regional and remote settings, including remote Indigenous communities. There is also flexibility to work from home for administration and report writing.

Mandatory Requirements

• Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent  
• Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status through Speech Pathology Australia  
• Unrestricted Australian working rights  
• Current Australian Driver's Licence  
• Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to obtain these prior to commencement  

Essential Experience

• Experience working within at least one relevant funding environment (e.g. NDIS, education, child protection, health, justice or related sectors)

Highly Regarded

• Experience in working with people with intellectual disability, trauma histories and complex support needs
• Experience in areas such as functional capacity assessments, sensory profiling, cognitive assessments, home and living assessments, equipment prescription and home modifications
• Experience working collaboratively with families, support networks and multidisciplinary teams to achieve outcomes in everyday environments
