About the role

Mrs Mack's Country Catering is seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiting Staff to join our team on a casual basis. Based in Almonds VIC 3727, this role offers the perfect opportunity to be part of a welcoming hospitality environment where you'll deliver exceptional service to our guests. As Waiting Staff, you'll be the face of our catering operation, ensuring every dining experience is memorable and enjoyable for our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism upon arrival

• Taking accurate food and beverage orders from customers and communicating them clearly to the kitchen and bar teams

• Serving food and drinks promptly and courteously, ensuring orders are delivered to the correct guests

• Checking in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns

• Clearing tables efficiently and maintaining a clean, tidy dining area

• Processing payments and handling cash or card transactions accurately

• Maintaining knowledge of menu items, specials, and recommendations to assist guests with their choices

• Setting tables according to company standards before service begins

• Supporting other team members and contributing to a positive working environment

• Following food safety and hygiene protocols at all times

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in waiting or customer service roles, ideally within a hospitality or catering environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable manner

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remember orders accurately

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and move around the service area

• Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings

• A professional appearance and grooming standards

• Basic numeracy skills for handling payments and processing transactions

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Customer-focused mindset with a genuine desire to provide excellent service

• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain it is advantageous
