At WesTrac's Component Rebuild Centre in South Guildford, you'll be part of a highly skilled team supporting the rebuild of Caterpillar transmissions, torque converters and final drives that keep Australia's mining and construction industries moving.

Location & Roster
South Guildford - Monday to Friday - Home Every Weekend

• Two weeks day shift: 6:00am to 4:30pm
• Two weeks night shift: 4:00pm to 2:30am
• 25% night shift loading paid on all hours worked

What You'll Do

• Assist tradespeople with the rebuild and overhaul of Caterpillar transmissions, torque converters and final drives
• Support component disassembly, cleaning, inspection and assembly activities
• Prepare components, tooling and work areas for repair and rebuild activities
• Operate workshop tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with quality inspections, measurements and workshop documentation
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment
• Work collaboratively within a supportive and high-performing workshop team

What You'll Bring
• Experience as a Trade Assistant or within a mechanical workshop environment
• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new skills
• Experience working with mechanical components, machinery or equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Positive attitude and ability to work within a team environment
• Commitment to safety and following established procedures

Highly Regarded, But Not Essential

• Forklift Licence
• Dogging Ticket
