Team members join a diverse, student-centered environment committed to continuous improvement and academic excellence.Role Description The Trainer role is a contract, on-site position based at Greenwich College in Sydney, NSW. The Trainer will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with college curriculum and regulatory requirements, using a variety of teaching methods to support different learning styles. Daily responsibilities include preparing learning materials, delivering classroom and practical instruction, assessing student work, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate training and assessment records. The Trainer will support student progression and welfare, participate in moderation and validation activities, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance course quality and student outcomes. The role also involves staying current with industry standards and contributing to continuous improvement of training resources and teaching practices.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in training or teaching within vocational education or higher education.Strong skills in lesson planning, curriculum delivery, and student assessment.Ability to create inclusive, culturally sensitive, and learner-focused classroom environments.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear presentation and feedback.Proficiency with digital learning tools, learning management systems, and basic office software.Relevant vocational or academic qualifications in a discipline taught at Greenwich College (e.g., Business, Management, Hospitality, Health & Care, IT, or English Language).Recognized training/teaching qualification (such as Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent), or eligibility and willingness to obtain it, as required by local regulations.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple classes and deadlines.Commitment to compliance with education standards, college policies, and quality assurance processes.Experience working with international students and knowledge of their specific learning needs is highly beneficial.
