Junior Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic lawyer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with experienced practitioners, manage your own files and develop your skills across a diverse range of legal matters, with a strong focus on Family Law, Conveyancing and Immigration matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own files efficiently and to a high professional standard

• Appear in court, including First Return Dates, Interim Applications, Motions, Conciliation Conferences and Mediations, manage conveyancing matters efficiently and independently.

• Deliver high-quality legal work and exceptional client service

• Build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and manage sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism

• Work collaboratively within a close-knit team

About you

• A minimum of 3 years' post-admission experience is preferred.

• Experience in Family Law and/or other areas practised by the firm

• Experience in Conveyancing is highly regarded

• Experience in Immigration Law is highly regarded.

• Experience appearing in court, including First Return Dates, Interim Applications, Motions, Conciliation Conferences and Mediations, or a willingness to develop these skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organisational and time management abilities

• The ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and manage sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism

• A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team

• Experience with Smokeball practice management software will be highly regarded but is not essential
