Lead QTC's enterprise Data, AI and Information Management capability and help shape the future of decision-making, governance and innovation across the organisation.

Data, AI and information are critical enablers of QTC's future. We're looking for an experienced leader to shape and evolve our enterprise Data, AI and Information Management capability, driving trusted insights, responsible innovation and strong governance across the organisation.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Director, Technology, Data and Information, you will provide enterprise leadership across Data, AI and Information Management, translating strategy into practical outcomes and ensuring strong governance, operational excellence and continuous improvement.

You will lead QTC's central Data & AI Hub and oversee the ongoing development of our enterprise data platform, analytics capability, AI operating model and information management practices.

This is a unique opportunity to influence how data and AI are leveraged across the organisation while ensuring responsible, secure and well-governed use of information.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of QTC's Data and AI Strategies, translating strategic priorities into delivery roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
• Provide enterprise leadership across data engineering, analytics, AI, governance and information management.
• Drive trusted data, high-quality analytics and information management practices that support business and client outcomes.
• Establish and oversee QTC's responsible AI operating model, ensuring alignment to strategic, regulatory and ethical requirements.
• Lead the ongoing uplift of information and records management practices.
• Provide strategic advice to executive leaders and governance forums regarding investments, risks, priorities and opportunities.
• Build strong partnerships across business, technology, risk, compliance and external stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team focused on innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

About You

You are a strategic and commercially minded leader with a passion for data, AI and information management. You combine strong technical understanding with the ability to influence, engage and drive outcomes across a complex organisation.

You'll bring:

• Extensive leadership experience across Data, AI, Information Management or related technology functions.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, analytics and reporting.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms and technologies such as Azure, Databricks and Power BI.
• Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI practices and enterprise AI adoption.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience advising executive and governance forums.
• A proven ability to lead teams, build capability and deliver business outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Tertiary qualifications in IT, Data, Information Management, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
• Experience leading teams and delivering enterprise or business-critical capabilities.

Desirable

• Postgraduate qualifications or professional development in Data, AI, Information Management, Governance or Leadership.
• Relevant certifications such as Azure, AI, Power BI, Information Management or Governance.
• Experience in financial services, government or another highly regulated environment.
