FULL-TIME CARPENTER REQUIRED AT LAYOUT DEVELOPERS PTY LTD

Duties

• Review drawings and blueprints to determine which materials and installation approach to use.
• Use power tools to cut and prepare timber and assemble wood to form structures as required.
• Create building frameworks, floors, roofs, or smaller items like furniture or skirting boards.
• Fit doors and window frames.
• Assemble and install prefabricated structures, e.g., homes.
• Install fixtures and hardware such as door handles, locks, insulating material or underlay.
• Install, maintain, and fix various products, such as tile, plasterboard, cabinets, and insulation.
• May construct the concrete framework.
• May work with plastic laminates, perspex and metals.
• Work in compliance with recommended safety procedures.
• Keep tools and equipment in a safe and functional state.
• Keep detailed records and document fixes.
• builds the subfloor and floors, builds the framework and roof framing, and confirms the accuracy of the constructions.
• Construct windows, cupboards, and doors.
• Prepare layouts, order and choose materials and wood.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
• Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
• Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
• Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Successful completion Certificate III in Carpentry.

Education and Experience:

• Successful completion Certificate III in Carpentry.
• Minimum 1 years

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
• Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
• Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year
