6-Month Day-Rate Contract | Sydney
One of Australia's most recognised names in travel is reimagining how project delivery gets done — not by refining the existing model, but by building a new one from the ground up using AI.

This is a greenfield engagement within their Program Delivery division, and it represents a genuine opportunity to shape something meaningful. The mandate is to work directly alongside the BA function, understand their processes at a detailed level, and design and deliver the AI-powered toolsets that transform how that work operates.

The Opportunity
Sitting at the intersection of AI engineering and delivery transformation, this role carries real scope and executive visibility. You will be embedded with business stakeholders to map current processes and identify opportunities for intelligent automation, while simultaneously guiding the technical direction of the build. The program is backed at a senior level and designed to move fast.
The technology stack is enterprise-grade: OpenAI Codex, Atlassian Rovo, agentic orchestration frameworks, and Jira as the central ways-of-working platform.

The Role
This is not a purely technical position, nor is it a traditional consulting engagement, it requires both. You will translate business needs into technical requirements, influence developers to build the right solutions, and bring stakeholders on the journey throughout a program that is still taking shape. Clarity of communication, commercial acumen, and technical credibility all matter equally here.
Backend literacy is required; Java or React preferred, although the emphasis is on understanding code logic and system architecture well enough to lead informed conversations with engineering teams. Experience designing or building agentic tools using platforms such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or OpenAI Codex will be highly regarded.

The Ideal Candidate
You will have a background in large enterprise, consulting, technology vendor, or a comparable environment where you have operated at the intersection of business and technology. You are genuinely passionate about AI, not as a trend, but as a discipline you actively engage with. You are comfortable operating in ambiguity, skilled at influencing without authority, and energised by the challenge of building something that does not yet exist.
