Senior Legal Counsel, Construction

The client

Our client is a major organisation in the transport infrastructure sector which is committed to delivering world-class assets.
  
The role

This specialist senior construction role offers responsibility, autonomy, and a variety of interesting, challenging work, and a collaborative team environment.
  
As a key business partner, you will advise on a range of construction law matters and project delivery issues. This is a visible role across the business requiring you to influence the business to achieve outcomes. Your role will also include developing and managing relationships with multiple stakeholders including external lawyers.
  
About you

You are a lawyer with 8-10+ years PQE with a specialisation in construction and infrastructure projects.
  
Your work experience will include drafting, negotiating, and advising on complex contracting arrangements, managing litigation and disputes, preparing government submissions, and advising on regulatory matters. You will also have commercial law experience advising on a range of commercial and contractual matters.
  
Your technical skills are complimented by your maturity, judgement, and confidence and your accountability for the delivery of services and outcomes. You will have strong stakeholder management skills and be capable of effectively managing multiple stakeholders and sensitive negotiations.
