About the role

We are seeking a professional and friendly Administration Assistant to join our Lower Plenty team 4 days per week.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is organised, personable and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be the welcoming face of our service, supporting the day-to-day operations of the centre while providing high-quality administrative support to our Management team. A background in early childhood education would be highly regarded, making this an ideal opportunity for an educator looking to transition into an administration role.
Child safety and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do. You will play an important role in supporting a culture of safety, inclusion and respect while ensuring all interactions reflect our commitment to the Child Safe Standards.
As our Administration Assistant, you will:
Meet and greet children, families and visitors with warmth and professionalism
Support families with enrolments and general enquiries (phone, email and in person). Build positive relationships with children, families and Educators
Provide administrative support to the Management team
Answer and direct telephone calls while maintaining confidentiality
Oversee onboarding of new staff and maintain staff profiles
Check timesheets and liaise with the Business Manager regarding bonds, declined payments and monthly projections
Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Xplor, TANDA and StoryPark
Coordinate communications, maintenance requests, orders and deliveries
Previous experience in an Early Childhood setting essential
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to work across different technology platforms with ease.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Committed to confidentiality and professionalism
Hold a current Working With Children Check
