Backam Group is currently seeking an experienced Yardman/Forklift Operator for a busy operation based in Smithfield, NSW.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced yard environment, operating forklifts, and supporting warehouse and logistics activities. If you're reliable, safety-focused, and physically fit, we'd love to hear from you.
ABOUT THE ROLE
📍 Location: Smithfield, NSW
💰 Pay Rate: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
⏰ Shift Schedule: 7:00am, Monday to Friday, Ongoing
📅 Immediate Start Available

You will play a key role in supporting daily yard operations, including customer service, ensuring stock is moved safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Forklift operation
• Loading and unloading trucks and customer vehicles
• Manual handling of stock and materials
• Pallet movements and stock organisation
• Receiving and checking deliveries
• General yard duties and housekeeping
• Maintaining a safe working environment
• Assisting warehouse and yard teams as required

ABOUT YOU
You are dependable, hardworking, and committed to workplace safety.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
✔ Current LF Forklift Licence
✔ Previous forklift operating experience (essential)
✔ Experience in a warehouse, yard, logistics, manufacturing, or transport environment
✔ Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
✔ Strong commitment to safety procedures
✔ Reliable transport and strong attendance record
✔ Positive attitude and strong work ethic
