About the role

This is a hunting role, first and foremost. We're not looking for someone to manage a book of existing accounts. We're looking for someone who can map the market, build a genuine pipeline of new business, and open doors we haven't opened yet.

You don't need to be the strongest technical person in the room. We have an experienced Sales and Estimating team who'll take a qualified opportunity from your first conversation through to detailed scoping, costing and proposal. What you need is the ability to get in front of the right people, understand what they need, and bring back a real opportunity.

We'll support you with some targeted marketing activity, but this role is built for someone who can generate their own pipeline, not wait for leads to land.

What you'll do

●      Map the market and proactively identify new commercial, industrial and multi-site prospects

●      Prospect and open new accounts through direct outreach, networking, referrals and industry events

●      Own the opportunity from first contact through qualification and handover to our estimating team

●      Represent ISD at client meetings, site visits and industry events

●      Keep accurate pipeline and activity records in Zoho

●      Bring market intelligence back to the leadership team

What you'll bring

●      A genuine track record in new business development or technical sales, not account management, ideally within electronic security, CCTV, access control, alarm systems or a closely related technical trade or technology industry

●      Comfort approaching new prospects rather than waiting for enquiries

●      Real industry relationships and the credibility to open a conversation and keep it moving

●      Commercial sharpness: you know a qualified opportunity when you find one

●      Enough technical grounding in CCTV, access control, alarm and networking to hold a credible first conversation. Deep estimating or design skill is a bonus, not a requirement

●      Current driver's licence
