 Bring your passion for, and mechanical knowledge for plant equipment and all things vehicular! Join our dynamic team located at our active and expanding work site at Two Wells. A bit of variety is also added with the opportunity to work at our Salisbury Plain site on sweeper trucks as needed.

 The opportunity is also extended to applicants with heavy vehicle mechanic or diesel fitter trade qualifications.

About the Role…

This heavily hands-on full-time position is based in Two Wells, and at various times, mechanical work at Salisbury Plain Head Office is needed. You will be working in a small but active team that reports to the Facilities Manager and you will be responsible for:

·         Completion of all required service and repair work on various plant equipment on site

·         Diagnosis, repairs and reconditioning

·         Troubleshooting and rectification of vehicle control system

·         Replacement or service/refurbishment of perishable/useful life or consumable machine components

·         Maintaining records of services and repair works

·         Attendance to service calls when required

 Okay, what do I need to have to be successful?...

·         Desired Mechanic and/or Heavy qualification (or comparable international qualification) as a Mechanic, Fitter with experience in plant equipment

·         Proficient mechanical knowledge and proven field service, diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance

·         At least two years’ relevant experience is preferred

·         Drivers licence - preferred card MR or HR. And if you have don't have these licenses, please don’t let this discourage you from applying.

·         Ability to work autonomously when the job requires and also within a team

·         A solution-finding approach with the drive of “how can I do this better?”

·         A sense of urgency for various jobs and punctuality at work

·         A high customer service mind set

·         Consistent safety focus

·         Ability to pass a Pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol assessment
