Commercial Sales Manager | Premium Furniture | A&D Focus | Sydney

The Company

Our client is a leading Australian furniture brand, supplying premium furniture solutions across residential, hospitality, workplace and commercial sectors. They partner with architects, interior designers, developers, builders and trade professionals to deliver high-quality, design-led furniture for projects of all sizes.

As their commercial division continues to grow, they're looking for an experienced and driven Commercial Sales Manager to develop new business, strengthen key client relationships and expand their presence within the commercial market.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Director, you'll be responsible for driving new business, growing existing trade accounts, and expanding the brand's commercial presence.

This is a senior, hands-on business development position for someone who knows how to build relationships, identify projects early and convert opportunities into profitable sales.

You'll work with architects, interior designers, builders, fit-out companies, hospitality groups, developers and commercial clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive commercial project sales across hospitality, hotels, events & exhibitions, workplace and retail sectors
• Develop and grow relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, builders and trade partners
• Identify potential projects early and influence furniture selection and specification
• Own the full sales lifecycle — from business development and specification through to quoting, negotiation, delivery and post-project support
• Build and maintain an accurate, visible CRM pipeline and sales forecast
• Negotiate commercially sound outcomes while protecting gross margin

About You

You're commercially savvy, relationship-driven, and passionate about design and architecture. You understand specification sales and enjoy working closely with creative professionals to bring projects to life.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years' experience in B2B sales, trade sales, account management or business development, preferably within furniture, interiors or design
• Established relationships within the architecture & design (A&D) community — essential
• Experience within hospitality, pubs & clubs, hotels, and large-scale commercial breakout spaces (e.g. shopping centre food courts) highly regarded
• Strong understanding of commercial specification, tendering and procurement processes
• Experience preparing commercial quotations, presentations and proposals
• Strong commercial judgement, including pricing and gross margin management
• Consistent CRM, pipeline management and forecasting discipline
• A consultative, credible and relationship-oriented approach
