Female Support Worker Required

About the role

Greater Northern Community Services (GNCS) is seeking an experienced Support Worker to support a female participant in her early 40s living with Huntington's Disease in Langwarrin. You will provide person-centred support while encouraging independence and building a genuine and trusting relationship with the participant.

Key responsibilities

• Community access and outings

• Grocery shopping

• Meal preparation

• Light household cleaning

• Supporting independence with everyday activities

• Personal care as required

About you

• Previous experience supporting someone with Huntington's Disease

• Strong knowledge and understanding of Huntington's Disease and the support needs that may come with it

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Working With Children Check (WWCC)

• Current First Aid & CPR

• Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle

• Current comprehensive car insurance

• Comfortable around a small dog in the home

• Reliable, patient, compassionate and able to provide consistent support
