Furniture Store Manager Furnhouse Thomastown

About the Role

Are you a seasoned retail leader with a passion for home interiors and team management? Furnhouse is looking for a highly experienced Store Manager to take the reins at our Thomastown showroom!

In this role, you will lead a dedicated team of 5 people, oversee daily showroom operations, and drive exceptional sales performance. We offer set daily hours from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM across a 5-day roster, with full availability required on weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of 5 staff members to achieve individual and store KPIs.
• Store Operations: Oversee day-to-day showroom management, roster creation, inventory control, and floor presentation using internal systems and software.
• Sales & Performance: Drive sales strategy on the floor, fostering a customer-first sales culture to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Visual Merchandising: Maintain a visually stunning showroom floor that aligns with brand presentation standards.
• Customer Excellence: Handle high-level customer inquiries, feedback, and escalations with exceptional professionalism.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 10+ years of strong retail experience, with a proven background in store management (furniture or homewares experience is highly regarded).
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage and run a team of 5 staff members effectively.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced computer skills required (POS systems, inventory management software, MS Office/Excel, and reporting tools).
• Availability: Must be available to work weekends as part of the 5-day roster (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM shifts).
• Skills: Strong operational acumen, clear communication, and excellent problem-solving ability.
