Executive Director of Care, Chief Nurse and Midwife

Permanent Full-Time - 76 hours per fortnight

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across Acute, Community and Residential Services. As a key member of the Executive Team, you will champion the MDHS Vision, Purpose and Strategic Direction, while ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred care within a strong clinical governance framework.

Qualifications / Experience

• Post-graduate qualifications in Management
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Specialist Expertise

To excel in this role, you will bring a strong combination of strategic leadership, technical expertise and people leadership, including:

• Developed knowledge of and hands-on experience with Activity Based Funding and Residential Funding
• Working knowledge of health accreditation standards, including National Standards and Aged Care Quality Standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to conduct business and performance analysis and implement effective strategies
• The ability to set clear standards, targets and objectives — and achieve them by inspiring and influencing the performance of others
• Demonstrated success in building high-performing teams and managing staff with confidence and compassion
• A proven track record of cultivating a positive and inclusive workplace culture
