Your role responsibilities include:
Engage in Therapeutic work with Children, adolescents and adults as required.
Information gathering and conduct initial consultations and assessments with new and continuing clients.
Develop relevant programs for clients, addressing the skills to teach and strategies to reduce behaviours of concern and restrictive practices.
Plan and create interim and comprehensive behaviour assessments and develop Behaviour Support Plans.
Provide accurate, timely and high-quality reports that meet the needs of the target audience within the NDIS required time frame.
Work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary team sharing knowledge and your professional skill set to work towards our clients’ goals.
Work with the client’s team to develop and maintain positive relationships with the client, carers and educators. Providing them with the support and tools required to implement each individualised plan.
Provide face-to-face and/or telehealth therapy services utilising evidence-based interventions and applied behavioural analysis. Whilst working in a clinical, home, educational and community environments.
Conduct regular clinic meetings and update programs accordingly, work alongside the national operations team to provide high quality reports and services.
Regularly work on your personalised professional development goals and attend professional development events/trainings.
Fulfil administrative requirements, including record keeping, billing and invoicing and manage your working calender.
Provide regular feedback to stakeholders regarding progress (participant, carer/ nominee, LACs, support coordinators, NDIA staff or others)
Develop relationships with stakeholders to strengthen partnerships.
Working with a high degree of autonomy, and collaboratively within our multidisciplinary team
About You
Applicants should have strong communication skills and exceptional time management and are able to follow procedures. Applicants are able to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary allied health team.
To thrive in this role, it’s essential that you have:
Experience working as a Behaviour Support Practitioner in the disability sector and with Paediatric clients
Be registered with APHRA (if relevant)
Current registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with NDIS.
Current drivers’ license
National police check (within last 3 months), OCHRE card, and NDIS workers check (or willing to get one)
