About the role
Full-time | Pooraka, Adelaide
Predominantly in-house production | Only occasional installation support
Do you have experience in the signage industry and enjoy the hands-on production side of turning approved artwork into a finished product?
Signs SA / Signarama Salisbury is looking for an experienced and practically minded Signage Production All-Rounder to join our growing production team.
This is a predominantly in-house, workshop-based position. Most of your time will be spent producing, finishing, assembling and quality-checking signage in our Pooraka facility.
You may occasionally assist our installation team during busy periods or on suitable projects, but this is not primarily an installation role.
Signs SA / Signarama Salisbury is an established South Australian signage business with 20+ full-time employees.
Our team provides complete signage solutions, managing projects from consultation and design through to print, production, project management and installation. Our work ranges from individual business signage and vehicle graphics through to major commercial developments, national rollouts and complete rebrands.
We have invested significantly in our in-house production capabilities, including:
Canon Colorado roll-to-roll printing
HP Latex 630 roll-to-roll printing
HP Latex R2000 flatbed and roll-to-roll printing
CNC router
Laser cutting equipment
Two flatbed application tables
Two laminators
Vinyl plotter
Summa digital cutting table
Forklift and scissor lift equipment
You do not need to have operated every machine listed. Training can be provided on our specific equipment for someone with the right signage background, practical ability and willingness to learn.
Working closely with our Production and Operations leaders, you will help move signage projects efficiently from approved artwork through to completed production.
Your responsibilities will include:
Reading and interpreting approved proofs, job tickets, production notes, drawings and measurements
Producing and finishing a broad range of commercial signage products
Operating or assisting with wide-format printers, laminators, plotters and digital cutting equipment
Laminating, trimming, weeding, taping, mounting and applying printed graphics and vinyl
Applying graphics to ACM, acrylic, corflute, PVC and other signage substrates
Operating CNC router and laser equipment based on your experience and training
Assisting with the assembly and finishing of flat-panel, fabricated, illuminated, wayfinding, retail and display signage
Checking dimensions, spelling, colours, materials, quantities and overall finish
Preparing completed signage for packaging, dispatch or installation
Helping organise production priorities and completing work within agreed deadlines
Undertaking basic machine care, cleaning and routine maintenance
Keeping materials, consumables and the production area clean and organised
Working safely and following established workplace health and safety procedures
Occasionally assisting with local signage installation when required
Previous hands-on experience within the signage industry is important and will be a key part of our selection process.
This is not intended to be an entry-level general labouring position. We are particularly interested in someone who understands signage materials, production methods and the importance of getting every detail right before a job leaves the workshop.
Ideally, you will have experience across several of the following areas:
Signage production or signmaking
Large-format digital printing
Laminating and print finishing
Vinyl cutting, weeding and application
Mounting graphics to rigid substrates
CNC router, laser or digital cutting-table operation
Sign assembly and general workshop production
Working from proofs, plans, drawings and measurements
Quality control and preparation for installation
You will also bring:
Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
Good practical, mechanical and problem-solving ability
The ability to manage multiple jobs and changing priorities
A reliable and organised approach to work
Basic computer confidence and the ability to learn production software
Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a larger team
The ability to work independently once trained
A current Australian driver’s licence
Legal Australian working rights
The ability to safely complete the manual-handling requirements of the position
A Certificate III in Signs and Graphics, forklift licence, White Card or EWP/scissor-lift ticket would be highly regarded but is not essential.
A permanent, full-time position based in Pooraka
A predominantly in-house production role with minimal site installation
Access to an extensive range of modern signage-production equipment
Varied work across commercial signage, retail, vehicles, events, workplaces and major projects
The opportunity to broaden your skills across print, cutting, finishing and signage manufacturing
An established and growing South Australian business
A supportive team of more than 20 full-time employees
Competitive remuneration based on your skills and experience
Training on equipment you have not previously operated
A stable, long-term career opportunity for the right person
