Role Description The Freelance Video Editor will be responsible for editing and producing engaging video content that showcases JDN Tuition’s learning outcomes, student stories, and educational resources. Day-to-day tasks include assembling raw footage, cutting and refining clips, adding transitions, music, and sound effects, and preparing content optimized for digital platforms and social media. The role also involves collaborating with tutors and the marketing team to translate educational concepts into clear, visually appealing video formats, and maintaining brand consistency across all media. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW, requiring close coordination with the team to meet project deadlines and content goals.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, with experience handling end-to-end post-production workflows.Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency and high-quality imagery across all content.Ability to create Motion Graphics and use Graphics to enhance educational concepts and viewer engagement.Experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex educational ideas into clear, compelling visual narratives.Excellent attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work on-site in Sydney, NSW, in a collaborative environment.Previous experience in education, e-learning, or youth-focused content is beneficial.Relevant qualification or demonstrated portfolio showcasing video projects in a similar context.
