Casual Bar Gaming Attendant

About the role

Coolum Beach Sports Club is seeking a Casual Bar Gaming Attendant to join our hospitality team. This is a casual position based at our venue in Coolum Beach, QLD 4573. As a Bar Gaming Attendant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our members and guests, ensuring they enjoy a welcoming and well-maintained gaming and bar environment. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a vibrant community-focused organisation.

Key responsibilities

1. Serve drinks and food to members and guests with professionalism and courtesy

2. Operate gaming machines in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements

3. Monitor gaming areas to ensure compliance with responsible gambling practices

4. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and gaming areas

5. Process payments and operate point-of-sale systems accurately

6. Respond to member and guest enquiries and requests promptly

7. Stock and replenish bar supplies and gaming machine areas as required

8. Ensure the gaming environment remains safe, secure and compliant with all policies

9. Assist with special events and functions as needed

10. Report any issues or concerns to management immediately

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in bar, hospitality or gaming venues is highly desirable

2. Knowledge of responsible service of alcohol practices and gaming machine operation

3. Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable manner

4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

5. Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people

6. Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends

7. Basic numeracy skills and proficiency with point-of-sale systems

8. A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)

9. A current Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG) certificate or willingness to obtain one

10. Ability to follow health and safety protocols and club policies
