Safety & Training Advisor (FIFO)
Seismic Drilling Australia (SDA) is a well-established exploration drilling contractor known for delivering safe, efficient and low-impact drilling solutions across Australia. About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Safety & Training Advisor to service Drilling Teams across our field operations. The role is field based (WA) and will service multiple clients and projects. The successful candidate will be paid an hourly rate, based on skills and experience. The Roster for this position is 14:7.
Key Responsibilities
· Proficient in incident investigations, audits, inspections and risk assessments
· Conduct in-field safety leadership activities i.e., Behavioral Based Safety (Coaching) and Planned Task Observations
· Coach Supervisors and crews to build a proactive safety culture and improve risk management
· Review and update safe work procedures and other documentation where required
· Assist with S.26 Supervisor and Drilling Certification training enrolment, monitoring, coaching, reporting and completion
· Assist with developing, delivering and assessing employee competencies (VOC Training tools & Inductions)
About you
To be considered for this position, it is essential you have all of the following (as a minimum):
· Certificate IV in OHS / WHS
· Certificate IV in TAE (upgraded/current equivalent to or hold TAE40122)
· Certificate III in Drilling Operations (Cert IV preferred)
· Strong knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations
· Intermediate computer skills (MS Office Suite)
· ICAM or Taproot qualifications
· Residency in Perth, Western Australia
· Be physically fit, healthy and able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including ongoing Medicals and DAS
· HR-B Class drivers’ license (HR or above preferred)
. Current National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
Desirable Skills or Qualifications:
· Testing and Tagging
· Drug and Alcohol testing
· Provide First Aid
· Four-Wheel Drive Certificate
