Sign Writer / Vehicle Wrapper

The Role

We are seeking a full-time Sign Writer to prepare and install high-end wraps on fleet vehicles, trucks and machinery, as well as manufacturing and installing commercial signage. As we are a small team, you will have the luxury of working on a wide variety of sign jobs. Your days will be split between our Welshpool workshop and installs onsite, travelling in one of our company vehicles. The successful candidate will be able to work both autonomously and within our friendly (and funny) team.

Key duties will include:

• Vehicle and fleet wrap installations including preparation of graphics and high-quality installation.

• Preparation of signs, vinyl and graphics utilising vinyl cutting software, operating a plotter, weeding, laminating and applicating.

• Installation of commercial signage including sign panels, acrylic lettering, printed wallpapers, frosting etc.

• Follow proofs for all preparation and installation work.

• Maintain records of all installations including photos and measurements.

• Workshop general house-keeping.

• Potential to learn window tinting.

Suitable candidates will possess the following skills:

• 3+ years’ experience in signwriting or vehicle wrapping (essential).

• Confident wrapping compound curves and finishing an edge properly.

• Very high attention to detail and quality of workmanship (essential).

• Manual vehicle licence (essential).

• Computer literacy including work management software.

• Ability to follow schedules and efficiently plan while out on the road.

• Follow instruction and communicate effectively and openly with other team members.

The Package

$35 - $45 per hour depending on experience, plus superannuation.

You’ll always have a company vehicle for onsite work. On top of that, a take-home vehicle (Van - Manual) is available if you want one - we’ll just adjust the hourly rate to suit. Plenty of people prefer driving their own car in, so it’s whatever works for you. Happy to talk it through.
