The Forest Management Branch plays a vital role in shaping the future of Western Australia’s iconic native forests. Combining cutting-edge technology, scientific expertise, and strategic planning, the Branch delivers the intelligence that underpins sustainable forest management across the Southwest. From analysing satellite imagery and modelling forest resources to mapping forest health and planning ecological thinning programs, our work directly supports the resilience and resource management of WA’s unique landscapes. Joining the Forest Management Branch means being part of a team that turns data into decisions, influences policy and operational outcomes, and helps ensure our forests continue to thrive for generations to come.
We are currently seeking a Data Systems Officer to join our team.

You will contribute to the design, development, and improvement of databases and applications, ensure data quality and accessibility across multiple platforms, and collaborate with field crews, forestry specialists, analysts, technical experts, and senior staff to deliver reliable information and data-driven insights that support the sustainable management of Western Australia's native forest estate.
