About the role

Dynamic Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team in Warrnambool, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to our diverse client base. As a Physiotherapist, you will be at the forefront of patient care, utilising evidence-based practices and clinical expertise to help clients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and achieve their rehabilitation goals. This role is integral to our mission of providing comprehensive physiotherapy and clinical pilates services that enhance the wellbeing and mobility of our community.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and initial consultations with patients to determine their physical condition, limitations, and rehabilitation potential

• Develop individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings, clinical judgment, and best practice evidence

• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other physiotherapy interventions to facilitate patient recovery and functional improvement

• Monitor patient progress throughout treatment, adjusting therapy protocols as necessary to optimise outcomes

• Provide education and advice to patients regarding injury prevention, postural awareness, ergonomics, and self-management strategies

• Liaise with general practitioners, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including patient notes, treatment records, and progress reports

• Contribute to the delivery of clinical pilates programmes as appropriate to patient needs and clinical indications

• Uphold professional standards, ethical practices, and compliance with relevant healthcare legislation and regulations

• Participate in continuing professional development and maintain current knowledge of physiotherapy best practices

What we're looking for

• Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy from an accredited university or equivalent body

• Current registration with AHPRA (or eligibility to register)

• Comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and pathophysiology relevant to physiotherapy practice

• Demonstrated competency in performing physiotherapy assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning

• Proficiency in administering evidence-based therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and electrotherapy modalities

• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to adapt treatment approaches based on patient response

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to patients in an accessible manner

• Professional interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and healthcare partners

• Commitment to maintaining professional development and staying current with physiotherapy research and best practices

• Experience in clinical pilates delivery or a willingness to develop expertise in this area is highly desirable

• Experience working in private practice settings is advantageous
