Experienced Air Core & RC Drillers

Raglan Drilling is currently on the lookout for experienced Air Core and RC Drillers who can consistently deliver a high standard of workmanship, quality and productivity while maintaining a strong commitment to safety within the drilling industry.

The right person will have the following competencies:

• Demonstrated experience in surface AC and/or RC drilling operations, preferably holding Certificate and/or III in Drilling Operations

• Ability to provide satisfactory results from a pre-employment medical assessment and laboratory drug and alcohol screening

• Current and satisfactory Australian National Police clearance (issued within three (3) months)

• Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Drivers Licence

• Current First Aid accreditation (including units of competency HLTAID009, HLTAID010 and HLTAID011)

• Current Working Safely at Heights training

• Section 26 Statutory Supervisory accreditation including BSBWHS411 and BSBWHS414

• Permanently resides in Australia

Key responsibilities of the role include, but is not limited to:

Conduct surface drilling operations safely and efficiently to complete our clients' drilling programs, this includes management of core handling, accurately recording drilling shift reports, troubleshooting of operational issues and manage supplies to ensure continuous operations;

Conduct, delegate and oversee routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication on company assets;

Effective communication and positive working relationships with all employees, departments, clients, contractors and site personnel;

Provide effective supervision and leadership to drill crews in line with statutory and company obligations;

Strict compliance with safety and site-specific policies and procedures, safe work procedures and relevant legislation;

Identify and report all hazards and implement appropriate controls to eliminate or minimise the risk;

Facilitate toolbox talks and safety meetings.
