We're looking for an inspiring retail leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our iconic boutique, leading a passionate team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while ensuring operational excellence across every aspect of the store.

Reporting to the Retail & Customer Experience Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing the Spell brand to life. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves retail and enjoys coaching people to achieve their best. You'll balance commercial outcomes with genuine customer connection, creating an inspiring experience for every person who walks through our doors.

Role Overview

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing retail team

• Foster a positive, inclusive and engaged team culture

• Lead by example, delivering exceptional customer service on the shop floor

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Byron Bay Flagship Store

• Drive sales performance and achieve store KPIs

• Prepare and manage team rosters to balance customer service and productivity

• Manage stock control, inventory accuracy and replenishment

• Maintain exceptional visual merchandising standards in line with brand direction

• Identify opportunities to improve store processes and operational efficiency

• Deliver a warm, welcoming and memorable experience for every customer

• Build genuine relationships with our local community and loyal customers

• Support in-store events and customer activations

• Assist with capturing authentic boutique content that showcases the Spell customer experience

• Partner closely with the Retail & Customer Experience Manager to execute retail initiatives

• Share customer insights and feedback to continually improve the retail experience

About you

You'll be a confident and approachable retail leader who enjoys developing people just as much as delivering commercial results. You will bring:

• Previous experience managing a retail boutique or fashion store

• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and inspire a team

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Commercial awareness with experience managing sales targets and KPIs

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• A proactive, hands-on leadership style

• Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences

• Experience using Shopify, Deputy or similar retail systems is highly regarded
