About the role
Paralegal (Part-Time) – Sydney CBD
Monaco Solicitors is a national plaintiff personal injury law firm headquartered in the Sydney CBD. We are seeking highly capable, mature and professionally presented law students to join our firm in a part-time paralegal capacity.
This position is suited to individuals with strong communication skills, high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment. The role offers exposure to a broad range of plaintiff personal injury matters and the opportunity to work closely with solicitors and senior staff across the firm.
Position
• Part-time, 3–4 days per week
• Based in Sydney CBD
About You
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
• Current enrolment in a combined law degree (2nd to 4th year preferred)
• Strong academic performance, including an ATAR of 96.5+ and a university credit/distinction average or higher
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Professional presentation and a mature, composed manner
• Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think critically, identify issues and exercise sound judgment
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Fast and accurate typing skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy environment
• A proactive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Previous office, administration or customer service experience preferred, though not essential
The Role
In this position, you will:
• Work closely with solicitors and support staff across a range of plaintiff personal injury matters
• Assist with file management, preparation of documents and general matter progression
• Draft correspondence, file notes and preliminary legal documents for solicitor review
• Liaise professionally with clients, insurers, medical providers, barristers and other third parties
• Assist with administrative and operational tasks including data entry, record management and file opening procedures
• Manage competing priorities and assist with day-to-day practice operations
• Maintain accurate records and ensure a high standard of attention to detail across all work completed
• Contribute to a professional, supportive and high-performing team environment
• Receive ongoing training, mentoring and genuine long-term progression opportunities within the firm
