About the role
Safety & Training Consultant delivering emergency preparedness training and services to clients in accordance with AS 3745 - Planning for emergencies in facilities and AS4083.
To provide exceptional customer service in the delivery of F5M products to clients. This includes training, mark up for Evacuation Diagrams and ensuring site specific information is captured to create an Emergency Management Manual.
Key responsibilities
Deliver site specific E.C.O. training (Emergency Response Procedures, Emergency Skills Procedures, Evacuation or Emergency Exercises, Chief Warden training, Aged Care training, Tenant Briefs, General Occupancy Training, Fire Extinguisher training) on site or via webinar to clients
Record accurate attendance registers and training reports on client proposals and web portal accounts in compliance with F5M policies and consultant guide
Deliver module training to clients including Active Threat, Bomb Threat Management, EPC Training, Hot Fire training, Dealing with Irate or Aggressive Customers and Personal Threat Awareness
Conduct Gap Analysis audits to measure client conformance to Australian Standard 3745:2010, including inspection and recording of training programs, evacuation exercises, Evacuation Diagrams, Signs, and Emergency Response Procedure documentation
Complete Fire Safety Advisory Reviews in Queensland in accordance with Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 using Fire Safety Advisor qualification
Conduct site inspections and design work to compile essential information for emergency response procedures and evacuation signage, including floorplate mark ups, site equipment forms, and Egress & Assembly Area mark ups
Attend Emergency Planning Committee (EPC) meetings as external consultants and advise members on correct execution of EPC roles and responsibilities in accordance with Australian Standard 3745:2010
Maintain and advance technical knowledge to meet all CPD benchmarks as set by management
Keep up to date with all First 5 Minutes technical policies and service delivery concepts and maintain client relations in accordance with the business plan
Report critical issues to the Training Manager/Operations Manager and refer business opportunities and client issues to supervisor in a timely manner
About you
Current "C" Class Driver's Licence (required)- Travel Allowance will be provided to the right candidate!!
40122 Cert IV qualification (required)
Construction Industry White Card in S.A (required)
Fire Safety Advisor (FSA) qualification (required)
Demonstrated experience delivering training in an adult learning environment (required)
Experience with Fire Safety or Emergency Services (preferred)
Highly developed communication and presentation skills (required)
Flexibility in delivery to meet client expectations (required)
Computer literacy across a range of software packages including Word, CRMs and Bluebeam (required; Bluebeam preferred)
Ability to work independently as well as to actively participate in and effectively contribute to a team environment (required)
