Skill Hire is looking for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to lead client acquisition, grow key accounts, and deliver outstanding recruitment solutions across the South West.

About the Role

This is a true Business Development role where you'll take ownership of developing new business opportunities while managing and growing an existing client portfolio.

You'll partner with employers across the region to understand their workforce needs and provide tailored solutions across apprenticeships, traineeships, labour hire, trade training and permanent recruitment. Success in this role comes from your ability to identify opportunities, build trusted partnerships, and deliver exceptional outcomes for both clients and candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities and grow existing client accounts
• Build and maintain strong relationships with employers and stakeholders across the Southwest
• Deliver end-to-end recruitment solutions from sourcing through to placement
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue and expand service offerings
• Conduct client meetings, workforce planning discussions, and site visits
• Manage recruitment activity while ensuring a high level of service delivery
• Maintain accurate records across CRM systems
• Ensure compliance with recruitment, labour hire, and WHS requirements
• Provide ongoing support to clients and candidates throughout their employment / training lifecycle

About You

You are commercially minded, relationship-focused, and passionate about helping businesses find the right people.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience within one or several areas of: apprenticeships, traineeships, recruitment, labour hire, trade training, or workforce solutions
• Strong business development and account management skills
• Demonstrated success winning new business and growing client relationships
• Experience building a desk and developing a client portfolio from the ground up
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong organisational and time management capabilities
• Experience using CRM platforms
• A current Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to travel to client sites
