St Marys - Yard hand

Ecocycle Pty Ltd, a leading recycling and waste management company, is seeking a dedicated Yard Hand to join our team in St Marys, NSW. As a Yard Hand, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our recycling facility, contributing to our mission of creating a more sustainable future. About the Role:

In this hands-on role, you will primarily be responsible for sorting batteries on a production line and supporting general yard operations. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, teamwork, and physical stamina are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Safely operating and maintaining heavy machinery, such as forklifts

·         Manually handling and sorting incoming recyclable materials, ensuring they are properly categorised and prepared for processing

·         Assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of materials

·         Operate on a production line sorting batteries and materials.

·         Assist with general yard duties and site cleanliness.

·         Maintain a clean and safe work environment through daily housekeeping.

·         Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow.

·         Follow safety protocols at all times.

Skills & Experience:

·         Previous experience in production line or manual labour is highly regarded.

·         A current forklift license is essential.

·         Physically fit and capable of performing repetitive tasks while standing.

·         Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

·         Reliable, honest, and safety conscious.

·         Positive, proactive, and eager to learn.

·         Strong work ethic with a team-focused mindset.

Working Hours:

·         Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm (with occasional Saturday work as needed).

·         Flexibility and willingness to work extra hours depending on workload.

Additional Requirements:

·         Full PPE provided.

·         Training on handling of materials will be provided.
